Lockerby Cottage is the perfect retreat or getaway for those couples, friends or a small family who are looking for a beach vacation. Located on the waters of Barrachois Bay, Lockerby cottage is a 1 1/2 story home and has all the rustic charm of a post and beam built home. It rests on over 2 acres of private land with water frontage for those days by the water, resting, walking or playing. The cottage has window views from all sides of the home with amazing views across the Bay. You can see the sail boats at Barrachois Marina or the spectacular hills of the Cobequid Mts. You have the feeling of being in your own world, yet it lies within minutes of the historic town of Tatamagouche, which has all the amenities you need, including hospital, bank, laundrette, stores, places to eat etc. Imagine the summer evenings outside barbecuing on your own deck or sitting round the fire pit and watching the sun set over the horizon. The cottage lies within 1 1/2 hours of Halifax International airport, Nova Scotia and 2 hours of Moncton International airport, New Brunswick.

General Information

Location: Sand Point Road, 7km from the historic town of Tatamagouche. Sand Point lies just off the North Shore's Sunrise Trail.

 

Amenities: Tatamagouche has a Hospital, Pharmacy, Post Office, Bank, Laundrette, restaurants and grocery stores. There is also a library, an art gallery plus many gift shops. In Wallace you can find tennis courts, a post office, local produce stores and a convenience store.

 

  

Local Attractions

Beach: Beach access from the cottage. Also Rushtons Park Provincial Beach, only 10 minutes away.

Sailing: Barachois Marina can be seen from the cottage

Golf: Ocean Links, Northumberland Links, Sunrise Beach and Fox Harbour

Skiing: Ski Wentworth within 30 minutes

Other: Jost Vineyards within 20 kms, Maple Syrup Farm within 20kms. Numerous local walks and trails.
